John G Albert
John Albert is a longstanding healthcare professional with diverse executive management experience uniquely spanning the healthcare spectrum throughout New England. Mr. Albert began his career in 1977 in the acute-care setting and entered the long-term care field in 1993 when he purchased and operated the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill, Massachusetts. His ensuing activities most notably included the founding of Landmark Health Solutions, extending to the direct ownership, management and development of multiple facilities growing to an operations portfolio of eighteen (18) properties. In addition, Mr. Albert led the consulting services division of Landmark where, over a period of thirteen (13) years, engagement activities extended to over sixty (60) clients. These relationships involved full scope financial consulting and operations management services exhibiting demonstrated expertise in operations improvement; clinical programming; regulatory compliance; and turnaround management for under-performing and/or distressed property circumstances. Mr. Albert sold his ownership interest in Landmark in 2006 to pursue other opportunities and to further broaden his healthcare industry experience – responsive to his vision for a changing industry with growing integration and more specialized concentration needs.
In 2008, after a short period of independent consulting, Mr. Albert joined the Kindred Healthcare as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Hospital Division where he was responsible for the operations of seven (7) Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) properties. The LTACH’s represented 484 licensed beds and $160MM in operating revenue. Mr. Albert’s leadership contributed to notable operations improvement while he actively represented corporate leadership of this public entity - expanding his expertise in specialized hospitals serving a broad ranging post-acute patient population.
In 2010, the Merrimack Valley Home Health Foundation based in Lawrence, MA., called upon Mr. Albert, a long-time Board Member, to take the reins as President and CEO. In this capacity, he has had responsibility for the oversight of the Foundation’s Home Health VNA as well as its Merrimack Valley Hospice and Home Care operation. The Foundation comprises four distinct agencies which combine to create one of the largest free-standing comprehensive post-acute home health continuums in New England. Serving over 3,000 patients daily in three (3) states and generating over $55MM in annual revenue, Mr. Albert has guided the Foundation through a dramatically changing landscape and historically the most stringent regulatory and reimbursement challenges that the industry has ever confronted. His steady and pragmatic style coupled with his executive leadership capabilities have sustained the Foundation’s strong and flourishing market presence.
Currently, in a business development capacity as a consulting Principal, Mr. Albert seeks to leverage his unique and diverse experience qualifications to fuel his entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to the business mission of Evergreen Health Group.
